Bankruptcy Counseling

Since changes to the Bankruptcy Code went into effect on 10/17/06, any person or persons who seek bankruptcy protection must participate in an approved debt counseling session before filing with the court, and again before their debts are discharged. Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Rochester is proud to be one of the first non-profit agencies approved to issue certificates for these sessions in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. (Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an agency's services.) We stand ready to help you meet your legal requirements by providing:

Making A Counseling Appointment Rest assured that we strive to make timely and flexible appointments available for you to complete the legal requirements of the new bankruptcy legislation.
Pre-Filing Counseling Appointments Available: Monday through Thursday: In Person, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Telephone, 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday: In Person and Telephone: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Pre-Discharge Financial Education Courses We will be offering group sessions weekly according to the following schedule. Mondays (Except National Holidays): 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturdays (Except Holiday Weekends): 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
