CCCS of Rochester Supports The United Way
"I feel very blessed to have such a tireless advocate. Your program is a godsend to people in a very difficult situation."
May 18, 2009
This year the staff members of CCCS of Rochester supported the United Way's Day of Caring by working with other Rochester based companies to clean up the El Camino Trail. The El Camino trail is a land project overseen by Genesee Land Trust.
Genesee Land Trust is the local, not-for-profit land trust in the Greater Rochester region working to protect open space for public benefit. Founded in 1989, Genesee Land Trust is one of 1600 land trusts nationwide. The Trust is funded primarily by membership dues and contributions.
Working in Monroe and Wayne Counties, and portions of Ontario, Genesee, Livingston, and Orleans Counties, we preserve land that includes native plant and wildlife habitat, wetlands, farmland, waterways, and scenic and recreational areas.
Through the United Way, we were given a valuable opportunity to support our community.
