Emergency Financial Preparedness Training

The City of Rochester is partnering with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Rochester to offer Emergency Financial Preparedness training to nonprofit organizations and community service providers.

This training will help equip your clients with the information and skills they need to financially prepare for and recover from emergencies and natural disasters.

Who can participate?

  • Employees who engage directly with the public, like call center staff, case managers, counselors, and food pantry workers
  • Managers of organizations seeking to incorporate financial preparedness into their service offerings or emergency planning documents

What will I learn?

  • How emergencies and disasters impact personal finances
  • Resources you can share with clients to help them recover financially from disasters
  • Strategies to increase financial preparedness before an emergency or disaster happens
