Project Ride Informational Session
Project Ride is a four-week, transportation-focused workforce development program for residents of Monroe County. Project Ride is designed for individuals whose household income meets the low-to-moderate income guidelines established by Monroe County. The program consist of in-person classes during evening hours. Employed individuals who have a valid driver's license are invited to attend an informational session via Zoom to learn about eligibility requirements and available transportation assistance. First time license seekers may also attend prior to employment but are not eligible for other types of assistance until after receiving your license and employment verification.
ATTENTION:
Current funding for the Project Ride program is ending soon. For the final cohorts, individuals who are employed, have a driver's license, and have a vehicle will have priority consideration by submitting required documents ASAP. Please note Project Ride does not pay fines, penalties, or fees.
*Program enrollment for down payment assistance is only available to those who obtain a car loan in advance and submit a loan verification document. Acceptable verification includes a letter from your bank, credit union, or car dealership. Program dates for the July cohort are July 21 - August 13th, Tuesday through Thursday, 6pm - 7:15pm.
EARLY ENROLLMENT
Those seeking a car repair or insurance assistance may apply early by sending an introductory email and attaching required documents now. Required documents are as follows:
1) Copies of your two most recent pay stubs
2) A copy of your vehicle's permanent registration card (not the windshield sticker, the actual registration card in your name).
3) A copy of your driver's license.
