Reliable transportation is more than convenient; it’s a lifeline on the road to opportunity. It allows families to keep a job, pursue education, access healthcare, and achieve financial independence. Yet in rural areas like Wayne and Ontario Counties, limited and unreliable public transit often leaves families with few options and roadblocks to success.
To help bridge this gap, CCCS of Rochester is excited to announce the expansion of our Driven2Success program into Wayne and Ontario Counties. Since hitting the road in Monroe County two years ago, Driven2Success has:
- Received over 1,000 applications
- Helped more than 80 residents get behind the wheel of safe, affordable vehicles.
- Saved families an average of $3,000 annually through lower loan interest, reduced rideshare costs, and time saved on commutes.
What the Program Offers
- Car-Buying Education Workshops: Online or in-person classes that teach smart purchasing strategies and how to avoid predatory lending.
- Personalized Budget & Credit Review: One-on-one guidance to strengthen financial readiness.
- Guidance on Financial Documentation: Step-by-step support to prepare required paperwork.
- Direct Referrals to Local Lenders: Partnerships with lenders offering low-cost auto financing.
With support from The Community Foundation, Excellus Foundation, ESL Foundation, and Greater Rochester Health Foundation, the program aims to reach 1,000 residents and help at least 500 families secure affordable vehicles in Wayne and Ontario Counties over the next four years.
Together, we can drive stronger financial futures—one vehicle, one family, and one community at a time.
