Project Ride Program

by Don Armstrong, Project Ride Program Director

In December of 2024, Monroe County selected Consumer Credit Counseling of Rochester as the lead agency for the Project Ride program. Project Ride helps low-to-moderate income residents of Monroe County, NY overcome transportation barriers to work. The program utilizes a cohort-based learning model where participants are grouped for 4-5 weeks of in-person classes.  The curriculum includes courses in employment, financial literacy, and driver’s education.  Upon completion of the program, participants can receive financial assistance for driving lessons, car repairs, car purchase, and car insurance. Candidates must attend an informational session before applying for enrollment.
